Norwegian Air International Permit Must be Revoked

With the Obama administration’s decision to grant a foreign air carrier permit to Norwegian Air International, our profession and industry face a grave threat. Much like what happened to U.S. maritime shipping, Norwegian Air International’s flag-of-convenience model will kick off a global race to the bottom as more and more carriers establish subsidiaries in foreign countries with lax labor laws, tax loopholes, and weak safety and security oversight.

Please take a minute to click on the links below and help us convey our message to policymakers in Washington, D.C.: The permit granted in the waning days of the Obama administration must be revoked. If not, it will destroy good, middle-class American jobs and result in major, long-term damage to our nation’s airline industry, similar to what happened to U.S. maritime shipping.

Twitter Discussion

The best way to become part of the NAI conversation on Twitter is to include #DenyNAI in your tweet. If you begin your tweet with a particular user’s handle, such as @RealDonaldTrump or @AlliedPilots, place a period in front of that handle. Otherwise, your tweet will be visible only to people who follow you and the owner of that handle.
